The original site described Young Dragons Wales as an initiative of HRH Prince Charles, then The Prince of Wales, who was also Patron of the initiative.
Young Dragons Wales is a partnership which works with, supports and promotes all the uniformed youth groups in Wales.
Its aim is to increase opportunities for young people to engage in structured activities that benefit local communities and involve collaboration between uniformed youth organisations.
The organisations include Scouts Cymru/Wales, Girlguiding, St John Cymru/Wales, Army Cadets, Sea Cadets, Air Cadets, Police Cadets, Fire Cadets, The Boys' Brigade, Girls' Brigade Ministries and Church Lads' & Church Girls' Brigade.
The Welsh Government, local authority youth services, the Department for Education and third sector organisations have also been involved in the work.
