For action and adventure, fun and friendship, the Army Cadet Force is hard to beat.
The original site noted around 45,000 cadets aged 12–18 and 8,500 adult volunteers in around 1,700 locations across the UK, making it one of the country's largest voluntary youth organisations.
Boys and girls from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities are welcome. Through exciting, challenging, educational and adventurous activities, the organisation helps young people develop physically, mentally and socially.
Some activities have a military theme while others have more of a community focus. The aim is personal development, fun, friendship and helping prepare young people for success in life.
