This is what it is all about: activities that offer challenge, excitement and adventure together with the knowledge gained through structured lessons and first-hand experience.
New cadets are not expected to know everything from day one. Members join a local squadron, get to know other cadets and staff, and are gradually introduced to activities.
Get out and get active
- Camping: survival skills and teamwork.
- Easter and summer camps: opportunities to take part in popular camps held at RAF stations.
- Overseas camps: experiences outside the UK including activities, travel and history.
- Adventurous training: rock climbing, abseiling, mountain walking, mountain biking, canoeing, high ropes and sailing.
Get airborne
Flying is central to the cadet experience, with opportunities to fly and glide, including working towards a solo flight.
